Meet Sheenu Goel, DDS, Endodontist
Dr. Sheenu Goel grew up in the state of Ohio and attended The Ohio State University for her undergraduate education. She then went on to Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, in New York City, where she acquired her degree in general dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Goel did a general practice dentistry residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL and then practiced as a general dentist for three years before pursuing her specialty in endodontics.
During her time spent practicing as a general dentist, Dr. Goel realized her passion was in root canals because she could quickly make patients feel better. To her, each root canal procedure could be so complex and challenging, yet exciting and rewarding at the same time. After private practice, Dr. Goel returned to Columbia CDM to pursue her specialty training in endodontics. At Columbia, Dr. Goel had an extensive education in didactic and clinical courses and enjoyed teaching endodontics to the undergraduate dental students. She prides herself on working hard to be a clinician who not only provides excellent care in root canals and root-end surgeries, but also is able to use her knowledge from general practice to help patients make sound decisions about their treatment. Through her vast clinical training at Columbia, Dr. Goel can help the most fearful patients feel at ease and relieved of discomfort.
Dr. Goel likes to stay very active and involved with organizations and giving back to those in need. She worked with various programs in Chicago and New York during her training such as St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, Thelma Addison Adair Dental Center and Cook County Hospital to provide care for the under-served. Dr. Goel was also active in student government as she was secretary of her class and also on the personal relations chair for the American Association of Women Dentists. She was involved with dental research throughout her training and became the secretary for the Jarvie Research Organization at Columbia CDM. Dr. Goel is a member of the American Association of Endodontists where she has presented research and won accolades and she is also a part of the American Dental Association.
During her free time, Dr. Goel enjoys spending time with her husband and family, working out, watching Buckeye games, cooking, and reading.
Meet Rush Davidson, DDS, Orthodontist
Dr. Rush Davidson wanted to be an orthodontist from the time he was in junior high. Once an awkward boy unwilling to smile or laugh without covering his teeth, Dr. Davidson’s life and personality were transformed by braces! His dream going forward was to be able to positively change the lives of many children and adults through orthodontics.
Dr. Davidson was raised in the hills of Nashville, TN and graduated Cum Laude from Furman University in 2003. After college, Dr. Davidson moved to New York City and earned a DDS from Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine in 2008. At the end of his tenure at Columbia, Dr. Davidson was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society for his outstanding academic achievements.
After dental school, Dr. Davidson served as a Captain in the United States Air Force Dental Corps at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, AZ. Dr. Davidson is very proud to have served his country, and in 2009 he was named the 56th Dental Squadron Company Grade Officer of the Year.
Following his United States Air Force service, Dr. Davidson returned to New York City and earned a Certificate in Orthodontics from Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2014. Dr. Davidson is a board certified orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an accomplishment attained by only a small group of practicing orthodontists in the country.
Dr. Davidson is a very friendly, caring and compassionate person who is committed to delivering the highest quality of care for his patients. Throughout his training in New York City and service in the United States Air Force, Dr. Davidson was involved in many outreach organizations to the underserved people of Harlem, Washington Heights, and the Bronx. The highlight of his service was a 2-week dental humanitarian deployment in which he treated children and adults in Guyana, South America. Dr. Davidson is an advocate of providing care to people who would not otherwise have access.
Beyond orthodontia, Dr. Davidson loves spending time with his beautiful wife Sheenu, family, and friends. He loves going to the movies, golfing, reading, hiking, traveling, and he is an avid sports fan!
Meet Khurram A. Khan, BDS, DMD – Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Khan was born in Pakistan and grew up in Bahrain, Dubai and England before returning to Pakistan and attending Baqai Medical University where he attained his Bachelors in Dental Surgery (BDS). He then went on to graduate from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2009. He graduated with Honors and was on the Dean’s list. He completed five years of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training from Louisiana State University and Indiana University in 2014. Dr. Khan is a published author of articles in his field. Since the beginning of his academic career he took part in numerous community outreach programs and was also a contributing author to the Boston University Dental Newsletter – The Explorer.
Dr. Khan’s practice interests include Anesthesia/Sedation, Wisdom Teeth Management, Dental Implant Surgery, Dental and Soft Tissue Surgery, Facial Cosmetic Surgery, Corrective Jaw Surgery (Orthognathic Surgery), Surgical treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Treatment of Facial Trauma, Surgical management of TMJ and the Surgical correction of Cleft Lip and Palate. He devotes some of his personal time each year to mission trips providing free cleft lip and palate surgery to the needy in third-world countries.

Dr. Khan offers evening, Friday and Saturday hours to make visits convenient for busy families and children, never missing work or school for your appointments.
Apart from his love of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Khan loves spending time with his family, playing tennis, and traveling the globe.
Meet Barry Simms, MS, DMD – Periodontist
Dr.Simms did his undergraduate training at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 1988. He went on to achieve his General Practice Residency at Miami Valley Hospital. He then attended the Medical University of South Carolina where he received his Masters Degree as well has his Certificate in Periodontics in 1991.
Dr. Simms is a skilled clinician proficient in both surgical and non-surgical treatment modalities and has continued the study of periodontics through the years and is know for his caring and compassionate chair side manor.
Dr.Simms spear time is now occupied with his granddaughter Ella Grace who had her first birthday May 2nd and enjoys golf, antiquing and is an avid sports fan.
Meet Yissell Carpentino De Jesus, DMD – Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Yissell was born and raised in the Enchantment Island of Puerto Rico where she earned her DMD degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine in 2009. After graduation, she pursued a General Practice Residency (GPR) in New York City and then a Fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry from The Ohio State University. She graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2016, becoming a pediatric dentist.
Dr. Yissell is an active member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Dayton Dental Society.
As a general dentist, she was exposed to many opportunities to provide services to the underserved population and exposed to different procedures that provide a life altering service to infants, children, adolescents and adults. These experiences and compassion has challenged her to reach beyond her skills as a general dentist and to continue advanced studies in pediatric dentistry.
In her free time, she enjoys reading books, spending time with her husband, cooking, gardening and biking.
